NO PHOTOSHOP NEEDED! :D

Hopefully people who use markers may find this of some help. It takes practice to get markers to work well in your favour, although even the best of us will get marker ink bleeding over our inking lines a little.

I put this tutorial together to show you how I tidy up minor bleeds in my marker peices without taking it into photoshop. True, you can use a computer program to tidy up the scan but...I happen to like the original to look nice and clean as well, and want to rely on the computer as little as possible (some people don't even have programs like photoshop, which makes things even harder for them).

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ASKING ME ABOUT THE GEL PEN: I REALLY can't help you out on where to buy them, as I don't live in America/UK/Australia ect, and I don't know of online sites either. All I can tell you is that I like to use the brand of Gel Pen called 'Hybrid', if you want to use that kind, you need to research where to find it yourself. :3

EDIT: Mira was kind enough to provide this link for people who want the gel pen: [link] - it's the 3rd one down, 0.8 mm medium point white that I use. ^^

THANK YOU *bows down* I use prisma markers but I end up messing up horribly so this helps out greatly. Not to mention I don't have any Photoshop or art programs on my computer *is too poor to buy it* Thanks again. May I hug you?

I have a question for you, what do you use for your lineart? I've tried marker lines, and inking pen ones, but when ever I use my markers to colour within those lines, they tend to bleed together ;__;
*needs to go and buy a gel pen*
hmm.. whitcoulls should have some right?
:iconkeysha-chan:
You can, but I do tend to bite. X3

Wow, this is great. ^__^
Since I'm not that good with using photoshop and I didn't really know how to fix bleeds. Thank you very much for uploading this. X3

Whitcolls and Warehouse Stationary both stock hybrid Gel pens (obviously, Warehouse is cheaper! XD) Whitcols also stocks 'Mitsubishi Uni Pin' inking pens. That's the one in the photo beside the Gel Pen. I use those and once dry, they don't bleed with the markers.

I also use Sakura Microns and Copic MultiLiners, but they're not sold in NZ, from what I know, I get them in HK.

And by the way, I use the same markers as you do! XD (But I don't use them THAT often, since I don't want to ....use them too often. O__o )
