Those gate-babies never fail to creep me out. X3
This is FMA fanart which ended up being a mix of both Manga and Anime themes in the end. It takes some explaining, but it might contain one or two little spoilers below (mainly for the manga) so beware. And just to take note - Alphonse has GOLDEN eyes in the MANGA, like his big brother - and I've always wanted to do him with them at some point. :3 I'm also not sure if those gate babies ever showed up in the manga (well...there's only a door, no 'gate' in the manga. Plus, I think there's only been the eye and the grabby-hands so...I think that was an anime-only theme...It's been a while since I re-read the current manga pages, since I've been waiting for chapter 55 for a long time now *hops from one foot to the other*). Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about the creepy babies. XP Okay...what's actually supposed to be going on is Al's body is, well, on the other side of the door now...pretty much re-forming on that side - but it's taking place after his soul was ripped back to the side Ed is on again...so it's the body and mind, minus the soul. What happens to the body and mind after it's re-formed? unless you've read chapter 53 of the manga, you won't know (but man, do I weep for poor little Al. ;_; ). So that's his limbs and such coming back (I love how Arakawa-san draws things breaking-down with the brick-like slabs). Plus gate babies having a ball - painting alot of stuff black is rather fun...infact, I think it's obvious from the stuff in my gallery that when I DO paint stuff, I like it all...messy-like. ;3 And for the record - his clothes DID get left on the other side of the door...both in the manga AND the anime so I WASN'T being a dirty-minded fangirl...honest.
